Loestrin 24 is an oral contraceptive which helps to prevent the pregnancy by preventing the ovaries from releasing the eggs.Loestrin 24 is made up of mainly two hormones Ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone. These oral contraceptives cannot be use as a prevention from the sexually transmitted diseases.

Breast pain and Tenderness occurs due to certain hormones in loestrin 24. This side effect should be taken very seriously and regular mammograms are recommended.Individuals who have or had cancers should not use this drug.
